Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk, First in Exports of Jewelry Made from Gold

The 59th IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show, held at the Istanbul Expo Center, concluded with the participation of more than 1,300 companies from 15 different countries. Participating in the fair for the 10th time, Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk exhibited innovative jewelry collections that are a first in Türkiye and drew intense interest from both domestic and international visitors.

Gold continues to be a strategic value in terms of safe haven and exports in periods when volatility increases in global markets. While geopolitical developments in the Middle East drive demand, Türkiye maintains its position as a strategic hub in regional gold trade with its strong financial infrastructure and developed markets.

Standing out within this strong structure, Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk — one of Ahlatcı Holding’s subsidiaries, which achieves export championship every year — once again took its place at the fair. Distinguished by its design strength and production capacity, the company’s export success, achieved with 43 years of experience in the sector, was crowned with the first-place award in the “Exports of Jewelry Made from Gold” category at the ceremony organized by the Jewelry Exporters’ Association (MİB).

Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk Industry and Trade Inc. received its award from Ahlatcı Holding Vice Chairman of the Board Ahmet Emin Ahlatcı, Jewelry Exporters’ Association Chairman Burak Yakın and Turkish Exporters Assembly Vice President Kutlu Karavelioğlu.

More than 1,300 companies from 15 different countries took part in the organization held at the Istanbul Expo Center between 1-4 April 2026. Participating in the fair for the 10th time, Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk drew intense interest from visitors with its innovative jewelry series and collections that are a first in Türkiye.

This year’s theme of the “Our Values from Past to Future - Iconic Works” series, launched each year by Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk, was “Timelessness That Leaves a Mark as Valuable as Gold on Time: The Çorum Clock Tower.” This year, the 80-cm-high and 20-cm-wide Çorum Clock Tower base was crafted by hand in 26 days using 6.3 kilograms of 14-karat gold. Standing out with both its cultural significance and technical detail, the work once again demonstrated Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk’s mastery in interpreting its heritage — reaching from the past to the present — with a modern design language.

Gold continues to be a safe haven

Ahlatcı Holding Vice Chairman of the Board Ahmet Emin Ahlatcı used the following words in his assessment of the fair: “Gold continues to be investors’ safe haven in periods when volatility increases in global markets. Geopolitical developments in the Middle East are raising demand; this rise supports prices and reshapes the direction of trade. In this process Türkiye stands out with its strong financial infrastructure and is becoming a strategic hub in regional gold trade with its developed markets. Istanbul’s refining capacity and export power carry the country to the position of an important player not only regionally but also on a global scale.

Gold, on the one hand, provides confidence to the investor, and on the other hand supports Türkiye’s economic vision. In this context, Ahlatcı Kuyumculuk’s reinterpretation of the Çorum Clock Tower in gold both keeps cultural heritage alive and carries the symbolic value of gold to a modern showcase. Thus gold builds a bridge in both the economy and art; it connects the past to the future.”
